My 5th grade teacher Mr. Sherer used to tell the class about 10 times a day "don't overstate the obvious." It was like a catch phase for the guy. He drilled it into my little 5th grade mind to the point that even now, some 13 odd years later I can hear him saying it as if he were standing over my desk again. But screw that, it's my understanding that blogging is kind of all about overstating the obvious.
So here's the obvious statement for the day: This is my first blog.

I guess what I'm hoping to get from blogging is similar to the MySpace experience circa 2003. I get to put my thoughts out into the world for all to see, only hopefully 10 years later those thought won't be so damn emo and whiny and possibly even a little important, or shit who knows, even meaningful to someone out there.
I'll probably piss you off at some point.
I'll probably offend you at some point.
You probably won't agree with or understand some of the thing I say or where they come from.
but I'm okay with that.
If I'm allowed to have my opinion then you sure as hell are too, so let's do this shit.
